Carlo and Shawna’s mid-summer wedding at the Whitewood Barn was everything we love about photographing in Alberta. It was romantic, relaxed, and full of happy tears as well as laughter. One of the reasons Whitewood Barn is such an amazing venue is because it allows all of your guests to stay and enjoy cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception. The covered, open-air bar area just in front of the barn itself was the scene for many amazing moments throughout the night including the couple’s romantic first dance, and then also their epic party.

We had the honor of capturing both photo and video for these two, and their connection made our job feal so easy. They are warm, kind and fun to be around. Their smiles are contagious and they both have a way of making you feel like close friends from the moment you meet them.
